Exhibitors Satisfied with the Course of IPM DUBAI 2010 and WOP DUBAI 2010
3,565 Visitors from 66 Nations Came to the Airport Expo Dubai
The fifth IPM DUBAI and the second WOP DUBAI have now come to an end with a total of 3,565 trade visitors from 66 countries. Both events were once again staged in parallel on the Airport Expo Dubai fair site in the immediate vicinity of the Airport Dubai and the Dubai Flower Centre. Exhibitors and visitors showed that they were satisfied with the results also in view of the economic crisis. "We had very good contacts and the right visitors were here. The quality has risen once more," was the opinion of the exhibitors.
The fairs were opened by Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of the Dubai Municipality which, at the same time, is an important partner as far as the staging of the events is concerned.
H.H. Sheik Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum was the patron of IPM DUBAI this year too. 120 exhibitors from 17 nations showed the trade visitors their ranges available from the fields of plants, technology, floristry, sales promotion as well as plant care and logistics. Companies from Egypt, Great Britain, Kenya and the USA presented themselves on cooperative booths. The German pavilion was once again supported by the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection. The demonstrations of the experts from the German Florist Association were very popular. The floral designers Manfred Hoffmann, Kathrin Göllner and Elisabeth Schoenemann presented bouquets and floral decorations for weddings. The lectures about products for horticulture and about the status of the development with regard to measuring procedures for soil, water and climate also met with great approval.
At WOP DUBAI for which H.H. Sheik Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum had agreed to be the patron for the second time, the 120 exhibitors from 16 nations presented their products and services from the fields of fresh goods, goods security, technical equipment, transport, trading and services. Great interest was aroused by the lectures about the influences of market trends in the UAE and the world on the markets in Central Asia, about food quality control and food security as well as about the widening of ranges and improved services in the food sector.
The dates of the next IPM DUBAI and WOP DUBAI will be published soon.
