For the seventh consecutive year, WOP DUBAI was under the patronage if His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Municipality.
The show was inaugurated by H.E. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of the Dubai Municipality and organized in cooperation with the Dubai Municipality.
The total outcome of the show reﬂected the huge progress in trade of perishables in the Middle East. The continuous growth of WOP DUBAI proves its position as the prime trade fair for fresh produce in the region as well as strengthen the Emirate of Dubai as a worldwide trading center for fruits and vegetables.
Overall, 205 participating companies from 30 countries exhibited at WOP DUBAI 2015 and presented a wide range of products and services. The participants came from Australia, Belgium, China, Cyprus, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mauritius, Moldova, Morocco, Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Rwanda, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States.
14 official country pavilions were joining the show from Australia, Belgium, China, Egypt, France, Italy, Kenya, Mauritius, Moldova, Morocco, Portugal, Poland, Spain and Rwanda.
4923 traders and industry professional from 78 different countries visited the exhibition with a growth of 11% compared to last year’s attendance.
The International Plants Expo Middle East - IPM DUBAI 2015 took place parallel to WOP DUBAI. 7329 visitors’ attended both shows with the general total growth of 9% from last year’s figures.
2016 will continue its success at Dubai World Trade Centre – one of the most prestigious exhibition centers in the World – with one additional hall booked providing exhibitors more services and space options.

WOP DUBAI and IPM DUBAI conclude for 2016 with an 18% increase in visitors and 8% more exhibitors compared to last year.
WOP DUBAI saw a visitor increase of 20% from last year, while IPM DUBAI witnessed an increase of 11%

Dubai. UAE, 15 November 2016: The 8th International Perishables Expo (WOP DUBAI) and the 11th International Plants Expo Middle East (IPM DUBAI) came to a close today, as both exhibitions saw an increase in terms of visitors (18%), exhibitors (8%), and floor space (21%) since last year. Feedback from this year’s shows was very positive with exhibitors already looking forward to their return in 2017.
NEW OPPORTUNITIES ARISE AS UAE MARKET FOR PLANTS AND FRESH PRODUCE CONTINUES TO GROW
Imports of plants, flowers and trees experience stable growth at an average of 24.6%, while thefruit and vegetables market continues to increase by an average of 5.6% each year.
UAE, 4 November 2016: The UAE is taking considerable steps towards sustainability and the city of Dubai hopes to be “green” by 2020, with 4% of the city dedicated to park land and all new buildings required to allocate a percentage of the plot to green spaces. At the same time, the UAE population is steadily increasing in the build up to Expo 2020 and the number of tourists and business travellers who stay in the UAE each year continues to grow. Dubai alone is expected to host over 15 million visitors before the end of 2016.
WOP & IPM RETURN TO DUBAI WITH A BIGGER VENUE AND TWO NEW COUNTRY PAVILLIONS
The region’s two most important events in the plant and fresh produce industries are returning to Dubai from 13 - 15 November 2016 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Cooperating with Dubai Municipality, the 8th edition of the annual International Perishables Expo Middle East (WOP Dubai) promises to be a great success, with 235 exhibitors expected from 34 countries attending, representing growth of 15% compared to last year. The exhibition will coincide with the 11th annual edition of the International Plants Expo Middle East (IPM Dubai).
Dubai Municipality signs MoU with planetfair to be strategic sponsor for WOP Dubai 2015
The MoU consolidates Dubai’s position as regional hub for trading fresh fruits and vegetables
Dubai Municipality has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with planetfair, which will be this year’s strategic partner for the 7th edition of the International Perishables Expo Middle East (WOP DUBAI), the GCC region’s only dedicated exhibition for fresh edible food, which will be held from October 5 to October 7, 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The event, which is being held under the patronage of His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance & Chairman of Dubai Municipality, is expected to throw the spotlight on the latest market trends in the perishables industry while also showcasing leading local and international fruits and vegetable suppliers. The exciting three-day show has been dubbed as its biggest edition so far, with over 29 different countries to be featured across different pavilions and an expected participation of more than 200 exhibitors.
